They should hand out earplugs as kids go into a concert, but the suit in this case, is, IMHO (Is My Hearingaid On? :) ) without merit given that both the daughter and the mother have no excuse for ignoring the tonnes of evidence about the dangers of hearing loss due to exposing yourself to prolonged periods of intense sound.

Actually many friends of mine are musicians and big into heavy metal (as well as other music). When they attend metal concerts they wear ear plugs. They claim that they can enjoy the music more with them in and are able to pick up a lot more from the music when the volume is dampened.

Actually a famous singer was once in a scandal just like what you describe. Don't laught at what you don't know. Concerts are not always clean.
I love peoples, if it's a politician, they throw tomatoes, unless it's Adolf Hitler, then they go Sieg Hail. But for famous artists, no matter how nasty a thing they've done, they all jump up and down like sheeps to defend them.

I think the author of that smeeling rotten article should be sued. If he said that to Tom Cruise he would already be sued.
Yes, the mom is overdoing it. Instead of cashing in she should just bring attention to the extreme in concerts. But the drugs and booze are a larger piece of the puzle.

Everyone knows concerts are loud which is why people take earplugs especially when taking their children to a concert! Younger ears are more sensitive so as a responsible parent you ensure you have taken the appropriate safety precautions for your kids. The responsibility is on this mother, it is certainly not Bieber's responsibility to be sure all his concert goers have prepared themselves. I hope this gets thrown out by the Judge otherwise this opens things up for all musicians to get sued every time a concert goer has an urge for cash. I have pain in my ear ever since I took a flight with a stuffed head, do I sue the airline for this? NO!
